Travel Team State Series Championship

USA Softball of Massachusetts is excited to announce the 2021 Travel Team State Championship Series. This will consist of 12 pool play games played over several weeks leading to elimination bracket play (elimination format will be determined by number of entries per division).

Pool play games will be scheduled beginning the week of June 13th 2021 with all games to be completed by July 30th 2021. Elimination games are set to kick-off the week of August 2nd 2021 and will be played during the weekday (Monday-Thursday).

The registration fee will be $450 per team. This fee covers game balls, semi/final playoff games host site (if needed), umpire fee for semi/final playoff games and awards for champion and runner-up teams. Teams will split the cost of umpires at the plate.

Here are some more details on our new State Championship Series,

*Registration deadline is May 28th, 2021
*6 week format beginning June 13th to July 30th. Teams will be scheduled one double-header per week.
*First game of double-header will count in the standings, must have a winner and will be played straight USA Softball book rule.
*Teams will be placed in regional brackets for pool play (if possible).
*All games are scheduled to play during the weekday (Monday-Thursday). Game time/date may be modified if both teams agree with a change of schedule.
*Pool play games will be 6 innings for the 10U division and 12U/14U 7 inning’s or a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes, finish the inning.
*Mercy rule will be in effect: 15 runs after 3 innings, 12 runs after 4 innings & 8 runs after 5 innings.
*Home team is the official scorebook.
*USA Softball Championship roster will need to be submitted by May 28th
*Teams may add/remove players per USA Softball rules.
*Max player rosters will be set at 20 per team.

USA Softball of Massachusetts will be hosting an informational meeting in early January to discuss the registration process, game rules, and answer any questions you might have. Please be on the lookout for more information in the upcoming weeks.
